Routine Medical, Emergency & Advanced Booking Appointments -
IMPROVED ACCESS
We provide a range of appointments to enable patients to have clinical advice or treatment with a GP or other Clinician dependent on their medical needs.
Book on the day - please call the surgery. A receptionist will take details of why you wish to see the GP in order for them to prioritise your call. Please keep your phone with you as the GP will only call once. The GP may ask you to attend in person if they need to see you.
Prebookable telephone slots - to discuss test results with a GP
Prebookable Face to Face appointments.
Waiting times in the surgery
Please appreciate that the length of time required by each patient in a consultation is variable and unpredictable. From time to time, a medical emergency or sudden death will require a Doctor to leave the premises unexpectedly.
We would ask patients to understand it is impossible for the Doctor, or Nurse, always to keep to a rigid timetable and delays may occur.
We would remind patients that all Doctors in the Practice are responsible for your care.
It may not always be necessary to see the same Doctor and, in some instances, our other experienced clinicians may be able to assist you.
All patients' medical records are computerised and access is available to all clinicians in the practice to ensure continuity of care.
Abuse of the appointment system, including obtaining urgent appointments for invalid reasons, will not be allowed.
Patients are requested to be considerate by cancelling appointments in sufficient time so the appointment is not wasted and can be given to others.
