FLU 2026/2027

Our main Flu vaccination programme is due to start mid October.  Eligibility criteria will be as follows:

• pregnant women (September)
• all preschool children aged two to four years on 1 September 2026 (September)
• all school-aged children (up to and including year 12) September
• all children in clinical risk groups aged from 6 months to less than 18 years (September)
• all those aged 65 years and over on 31 March 2027
• all those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups (as defined by the influenza chapter in ‘Immunisation against infectious disease’ (the ‘Green Book’)
• all health and social care workers1
• those in long-stay residential care homes
• carers
• close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
• high risk poultry and avian animal health workers2
• high-risk cattle and swine workers3
• rough sleepers and homeless hostel users

Please note that the criteria for Flu and Covid vaccinations are not the same this year.
